Meet Rob & Lorraine
Partridge Farm has been 'home' for over 30 years...
Rob & Lorraine Holloway moved to the 30 acre property in 1980. They cleared the block, grassed and fenced the paddocks & turned what was once ‘an ecological desert’ into a perma-cultural paradise.
In 1996, they named the property ‘Partridge Farm’ after the free range partridges and started holiday accommodation. First was The Bungalow which is bed and breakfast accommodation. The Bungalow overlooks deer and sheep paddocks and has good views of Franklin Sound and outer Islands. The Bungalow has a double bed and spa.
After a few months they built The Retreat. It is a self contained studio unit with a king size bed and also overlooks Franklin Sound and is close to the large eucalyptus forest. They have a large vegetable garden, many different varieties of fruit trees and an olive grove.
Rob & Lorraine also cater for house guests on request and food is sourced mainly from Partridge Farm, cooked by Lorraine with meals delivered to the houses.
Partridge Farm has a liquor licence and in each house is an extensive wine and beer supply, featuring a large selection of tasmanian wine. There is an enclosed bbq area with a wonderful brick pizza/bread oven.
